The moment the goddess reaches the shore and with both her hands wrings her hair from the sea foam.
According to ancient Greek myth, when Cronus took the kingdom from his father, Uranus, he cut off his genitals and threw them into the sea. From the foam of the sea, the goddess Aphrodite emerged near Cyprus.
The vessel is glazed internally with blue glaze. Externally, the hammered surface and the drips of paint allow us to relive the moment of the emergence of the beautiful goddess where her wet body separates from the mother sea.

Drawing inspiration from traditional and ancient vessels, we created this vessel on these traditional forms. It is entirely handmade without the use of molds, something that requires a lot of time and skill. After the vessel takes its shape, we continue with the hammering of the surface, which slightly affects its shape but also gives texture.

The glaze covers the vessel internally but externally it functions as a painting, giving it its uniqueness as a work of art. Hand built ceramic vessel, stoneware fired in an electric kiln, cone 6.
